PRAYER BEADS     Prayer Beads are called Mala Beads, and carry significance in the Buddhist culture.  Mala Beads represent a meditation tool to enhance "goodness" and diminish "toxins".  They are used to drive away evil and fill the prayer with peace and bliss, and as an accomplice of gaining merit on the path to enlightenment.   Our collections of Mala Beads are blessed using in chanting to enhance the power of protection.  There are 108 beads on each strand of a Mala prayer bead, along with a guru bead and it also includes a tassel or is tassel-less at the end.  108 beads represent the number of sinful desires that one must overcome to reach enlightenment.
